Description
Set during the height of the Great Depression, veteran Samuel Murphy (Ethan Hawke) is forced to work at a brutal labour camp. His ruthless overseer (Russell Crowe) gives him a chance at early release by using him in a treacherous gold smuggling scheme. Desperate to get back to his daughter, Murphy leads a group of his fellow prisoners on a hazardous journey through the Oregon wilderness for a chance to reunite with what is left of his family. Captivating, adventurous, and intense: a treat for fans of Sorcerer. This film? Golden.
