Description
Brendan Fraser (The Whale) plays Philip, a lonely American actor in Tokyo. He starts working at a Japanese ‘rental family’ agency, where he has to play stand-in roles in the lives of strangers. When he has to play the dad of a little girl, everything changes. Through the different roles that Philip plays, we get drawn into a web of intriguing characters, leading to touching moments as well as comical situations. A heartwarming film by director Hikari (Beef), fresh from its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
