Description
After a family tragedy, siblings Ella and Charlie are unexpectedly taken on a road trip through the country by their father, not knowing where they’re going and why they’re leaving. The film unfolds into a moving portrait that is carried by the fantastic performances of the three main actors. The impressive and vulnerable performance by John Magaro (Past Lives) and the realistic relationship between the children make this road movie feel like a real emotional journey. This debut film by director Cole Webley was beautifully written by Robert Machoian, who you might remember from LIFF films The Killing of Two Lovers (2020) and The Integrity of Joseph Chambers (2022).
