Description
Set in 2022 Russia, successful executive Gleb’s carefully controlled life unravels amid increasing global instability, corporate pressure and his wife Galina’s infidelity. As his personal and professional worlds collapse, tensions escalate toward violence in this political thriller inspired by Claude Chabrol’s 1969 film The Unfaithful Wife. Directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev, who we know from LIFF 2014 selection Leviathan, Minotaur manages to translate moral ambiguity to the screen with patience and power. The film won the Grand Prix at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
