Description
In 1980, maverick William Friedkin shook up New York during the making of Cruising. In the documentary Mineshaft: The Cruising Murders (2026), we return to that era. Thisnew documentary explores the controversial film, the ferocious protests from the queer community that accompanied its production, driven by fear it would fuel violence and bigotry, and the real-life murders that inspired the film.
Afterwards, we’ll also screen the original film, in which an undercover cop played by Al Pacino infiltrates New York’s gay BDSM scene to track down a serial killer who has been stalking and murdering gay men. Your ticket provides access to both films.
