Description
In Cameroon, 80-year-old Josette lives in her family home while her children have moved to Europe. As she oversees the construction of her son’s house and looks forward to his return, she meets Sarah, a young woman from the neighborhood. The two form an unexpected friendship that begins to transform both their lives. Josette is played by director Auguste Bernard Kouemo Yanghu’s own mother. Tender and deeply personal, House of the Wind is a compelling exploration of ageing, solitude and solidarity between generations, while reflecting on the complex meaning of home in a world shaped by migration.
