Description
Léa Drucker from the 2022 LIFF-hit Close inhabits the role of Stéphanie, an Internal Affairs police officer investigating police brutality. When a young man is severely wounded during a tense demonstration in Paris, Stéphanie is put on the case. While she finds no evidence of illegitimate police violence, she gets personally invested when she discovers the victim is from her own hometown. Case 137 is a gripping French police thriller that explores institutional corruption, power and bias.
