Description
The West Bank, 1988. A Palestinian teenager, Noor, is shot by an Israeli soldier during a protest. Before we find out whether Noor survives this incident, his mother takes over the story and addresses us directly: we cannot understand Noor’s story without knowing his grandfather’s story as well. What follows is the heartrending story of a Palestinian family and their struggle to remain together in the seven decades following their forced displacement in 1948.
The screening on October 10 will be followed by a Q&A with director Cherien Dabis.
