Description
Pesta Babi (literally: Pig Party) is an investigative documentary by Dandhy Laksono and Cypri Paju Dale about large-scale deforestation and ecocide in South Papua. Through personal testimonies, the film explores how agricultural, palm oil and food projects threaten the land and culture of Indigenous communities. This film will be screened at Wereldmuseum Leiden as part of the exhibition Tijd voor Papoea.
Some of our visitors can participate in a guided tour of the Wereldmuseum prior to the film (12:15-13:00). Select the ticket type ‘Special incl. tour’ to register for this tour.
