Description
Jeanne is a solitary and independent claims adjuster who has consciously chosen a life without children. Her carefully maintained life is disrupted when her estranged sister Suzanne unexpectedly arrives with her two young children. At first, it seems Suzanne wants to reconnect, but by morning, she has vanished: without explanation, and without the children. Left to care for her sister’s children, Jeanne is forced to confront the emotional and practical consequences of her sister’s disappearance, and the life she thought she had firmly closed off.
