Description
Drummer Mauro is out of luck, broke and sleeping on his sister’s couch. Frustrated, he starts drumming on the streets, which gives him a surprising sense of freedom. Perfect for fans of #brokecore, where both subject matter and production are inspired by limited financial support. In Downbeat, this has resulted in creative filmmaking: Intimate close-ups and improvised shots make this film as indie as indie can be. Not surprising, given director Danny Madden’s background in animation (Everything Everywhere All At Once) and sound design (Erupcja).
Director Danny Madden will be in Leiden for a Q&A on October 15 and 18.
