Description
Due to financial troubles, the grouchy Olga is forced to rent out a room in her apartment to a father and his nine-year-old son Christian. After an unfortunate first encounter, she slowly warms to Christian, whose mother is in the hospital. Set in Mexico City, Moscas is a charming black-and-white portrait of an unlikely friendship, told mostly through Christian’s observant child’s-eye view. Attentive LIFF fans may remember director Fernando Eimbcke from last year’s programme, when his film Olmo was also featured.
