Description
On the eve of the Spanish Civil War, a soldier struggles with his sexuality. Decades later, a man is shunned from his father’s prestigious social club due to rumors about his sexuality. In present-day Spain, a young historian delves into a complicated family history. Three men from three different eras: they never meet, but their lives are connected.
A riveting tribute to Federico García Lorca, whose life and work were deeply intertwined with repressed sexuality and identity. La Bola Negra is a queer war drama with an exceptional international cast, capturing Spanish history in an engrossing story that made waves at Cannes. It’s also the Spanish Oscar submission for this year!
