Description
This documentary follows three headstrong young women as they enter into a three-year pact to form a coven and take over Norway’s male-dominated black-metal scene with their band, Witch Club Satan. That they do not play any instruments is besides the point: that’s where the witchcraft comes in. With screams and howls, they spellbind audiences with lyrics about female freedom and power. Before long, their band becomes a major, but controversial, success.

Bonkers! Competition
Bonkers! is a whirlwind trip through innovative, strange, and otherworldly films that break the boundaries of genres and look for new ways to reverently smash sacred houses. Sometimes absurd, sometimes shocking, but always good, or at least good for a heavy discussion afterwards. Join us down the rabbit hole and experience the film festival in its, shall we say, purest form.
