Description
How do you deal with teenage angst while you’re in the midst of unrest and a looming war? That’s the reality Dua faces. As her community is confronted with rising ethnic tensions in 1990s Kosovo, Dua struggles to fit in with her peers and navigate the expectations of womanhood. Then she meets the fearless Maki, and suddenly new feelings begin to surface. Coming-of-age tropes hit differently when set against a backdrop of growing instability and destruction.
