Description
Technology comes to life, while humanity is pushed to the margins of society: this is Metropolis, Fritz Lang’s irresistible 1927 classic. A cappella ensemble Wishful Singing performs a brand-new live score for this silent film, composed by Steven Kamperman. What is a machine? What is a human? And what happens when we can no longer tell the two apart?
With an introduction by Peter Verstraten, university lecturer Film Studies at Leiden University.
