Film Museum Leiden

Leiden is packed with beautiful museums. Thirteen of them, to be exact—every cultural institution has its own museum. Except for, to our dismay, the Leiden International Film Festival. That’s why this year we are very proud to present the Film Museum Leiden. The museum will be next to the Leiden train station, in the brand new Red Carpet Lounge. The museum’s exhibitions will change every month, and will be open to the public starting August 15th. The official opening is on September 1st.

The new film museum will fill an urgent void in the Dutch world of movies. Film Museum Leiden will focus on those aspects of film history that are often left untouched by other museums. We have planned three exhibitions in the months before the thirteenth edition of the Leiden International Film Festival, taking place from November 2 to November 11, 2018.

Steven Seagal — The legend. The man.

Some call him the greatest action hero ever. But Steven Seagal is so much more: master of zen, philosopher, diplomat, developer of therapeutic oils and energy drinks. Is there anything Seagal can’t do, many wonder. No. This master of all trades will make a lasting impression on you at the Film Museum Leiden. Starting August 2018. FML.
