Youth jury

For the first time ever, we present a youth jury at LIFF!

This jury consists of eight people aged 17-24 years old. They will watch six films, one from every program at LIFF. This means the films will be very diverse, but still have one element in common: their thematics will undoubtedly provoke fruitful discussion among the jury.

During LIFF, the youth jury will come together a couple of times to view a film and discuss it afterwards. On top of that, prior to the festival an interesting lecture was organised to teach the jury about the different aspects related to film and its portrayal in mainstream media.

With the newly acquired knowledge from the lecture and from their mutual discussions, the youth jury will have to judge the films they've watched. At the end of the festival they will choose a winner, presenting also their considerations and arguments for picking it!
